DON’T MISS THE LAST SEPTA MEETING May 21, 2010 10:15 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. New Location - Middle School Auditorium Listen, Laugh, Give…Motivate your space! Presented by Garden City’s Own: Jeanne M. Stafford Motivational Speaker This motivational talk is designed to empower parents in their every communiqué. Stafford will speak specifically to meet the needs of special education parents, right here right now. This talk will engage the audience and teach them to activate their own space using the same skills that comedy improvisers use to create scenes without a script. Participants will learn to reinvent the way they perceive of themselves in most settings. The goal is to give the parents skills to better listen and communicate to their children, teachers, family and most importantly to themselves! We will conclude by “gifting” SEPTA with the information they need to continue to improve the way they reach and assist parents. Jeanne has some fabulous ideas she can’t wait to share from her own special education travels. Bring your ideas and contribute to this session! Jeanne M. Stafford Jeanne Stafford brings a decade of experience as a fundraiser for presidential campaigns, a New York City Mayor and beyond. Today she uses those skills to assist corporate clients in identifying specific ways to galvanize their staffs. As a fundraiser Jeanne learned how to energize large groups toward a single goal and has a passion for conveying the power of ideas and ideals to her audiences. Jeanne is President and Founder of Stafford & Company. Ltd. a firm providing motivational speaking and team development to non-profit boards and sales groups. Jeanne’s goal is to teach every client how giving yields empowerment. Jeanne serves on the boards of Making Books Sing and Trinity University Alumnae. She also enjoys performing short form, long form and musical improv with The Yes Show in New York City. Jeanne is proud to be a parent member serving the Committee on Special Education in Garden City
